Every August we take in a batch of Bronze turkeys to grow for the Christmas market.
These ladies get the royal treatment with lush green pastures to roam on during the day to a large straw bedded barn for the night-time protection.
The reason we select bronze turkeys is two fold. Firstly, they are better suited to an outdoor rearing system as they are an old traditional breed and much hardier.
Our second reason is that they taste better. They grow slower and therefore the taste and texture is far superior.
We are members of Good Food Ireland and have won Bridgestone awards for 2010 and 2011. Our passion is producing and sourcing the best Ireland has to offer and taking control of the food chain that is embedded in our culture and traditions.
